ETCA curates show at Saint Peters Church_ NYC
Curated by Lisa Cooper and Joan Daidone of Elisa Tucci Contemporary Art, the new exhibit is a one-woman show featuring the paintings of Egyptian-born Artist and Writer, Carole Naggar.

This new exhibit presents the artist's most recent work, a series entitled "Scores" based on and inspired by a book of 19th Century Japanese music scores, as well as works on paper created over the past six years.

According to Carole Naggar, "Music is a thread that weaves though my life. From the concerts where I sang in choir in churches throughout France as an adolescent... to the Egyptian Jews who introduced me to Arabic music... to the synagogue where my children chanted ancient Hebrew verses..."

The exhibit combines the panoramas of her Palimpsests series to the current series entitled Scores, which are large squares of large bold calligraphic notations against a burst of fluid color pigment. Carol invites her viewers to hear the energy and movement of the music that inspired the work.
