About Us

Elisa Contemporary Art was originally launched in November 2007, as a way to harness the power of art to positively transform people lives.

Since the beginning, I have been committed to presenting artists whose work engages me on an emotional, spiritual and/or intellectual level. And I've made a commitment to give back to others as I receive.

The Riverdale New York Gallery was opened in September 2008. Elisa Contemporary Art remains Riverdale's only Contemporary Art gallery.  The Fairfield CT Art Salon opened in 2017.

Our Art Consulting services began in 2009. I work with clients from the experienced collector to the first time buyer. My extensive relationship with artists and galleries worldwide enables me to find the perfect artwork for every client project, style and budget.

Over the past few years, we have curated over 40 shows in public and private art spaces in the Tri-State area, participated in international art fairs in New York City, Miami and the Hamptons. We have worked with interior designers for the Designer Showhouse of Westchester (in Scarsdale), as well as showhouses in the Hamptons. In 2013, we were selected as the Bronx gallery for the 2013 CURATENYC.

In 2017, we opened an Art Salon in Fairfield CT.  Open by Appointment only.  At our Art Salon, we have hosted a series of events and talks on Art Collecting and Interior Design.

Lisa Cooper is also a member of the Arts & Architecture Review Committee at Saint Peter's Church (NYC - home of the Louise Nevelson white sanctuary), a member of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County and Art Table   I have also been a guest lecturer at School of Visual Arts and Queens College and a co-founder of the 2011/2012 Riverdale Festival of the Arts and co-leader of the NY Chapter of the Association of Women Art Dealers.

Lisa Cooper

A born and bred New Yorker, art has always been an essential part of Lisa’s life as a collector, patron, supporter — and daughter of two accomplished artists. Her mother is a painter and jewelry designer, her father a business man with a passion for creating sculptures.

Professionally, Lisa has spent over 20 years in key strategic roles directing marketing communications campaigns for some of the world’s leading consumer brands, including IBM, JP Morgan Chase, Credit Suisse First Boston, and most recently, managing interactive and relationship marketing programs for Mercedes-Benz.

In her management roles, Lisa has leveraged all communications and media channels, from PR to Relationship Marketing to interactive and new media, to create innovative and award-winning campaigns and multi-media events that have generated greater awareness, interest and sales.

At Mercedes-Benz, Lisa was recognized for an award-winning Interactive TV campaign to launch the new M-Class, was a key member of a multi-media global campaign to launch the R-Class and led strategic communication programs designed to connect consumers with the type of vehicle that best fit their needs.

Lisa believes in the power of art to heal children's lives and has been an active volunteer and supporter of Free Arts NYC, an non-profit organization that works with children and their families in the New York.

Lisa has curated exhibits in public and private spaces throughout the tri-state area. She is also a member of the Saint Peter's Church Art and Architecture Review committee, the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County and Art Table.
