“According to Elaine, "Humankind is finite and so are humankind's creations: buildings, bridges, roads and all manner of objects will eventually decay. Nature is infinite. Mountains, rivers, oceans, forests, clouds, sky and atmosphere are ever changing in their form: shape, color, texture, relationships. All are the tools of the painter in a dialogue of expression. Recent work involves a longstanding interest in cloud formations and their range of conditions from calm to stormy.
